This is my country damnit

Last night when it was announced that Obama was the President I was bummed, I still am really. Last night I was called a neo-con when I said I did not like Obama, but let me make something clear, I do not like McCain either. With that being said I would rather have McCain than a Socialist. People tell me that I am over reacting about the Socialist thing, I tell those people they have never read a history book, and indeed if they have read a history book they would know what Obama's policies are all about.

As I let it all sink in and I slept on it I woke up this morning furious as all hell. What is the matter with the people in this country? Do those who voted for Obama not know what the problems with Socialism are? Do they not know the people who have tried to implement Socialism throughout history? The answer is one of two things, they either do not know and will be in for a rude awakening soon, or they know and they would rather be slaves than free people in which case those folks need to be removed from the tree of liberty.

My anger is growing as I watch the news. This is my country damnit! The country of patriots and the Founding Fathers, the country of men who said things such as:

"Before God, I believe the hour has come. My judgement approves this measure, and my whole heart is in it. All that I have, and all that I am, and all that I hope in this life, I am now ready here to stake upon it. And I leave off as I began, that live or die, survive or perish, I am for the Declaration. It is my living sentiment, and by the blessing of God it shall be my dying sentiment. Independence now, and Independence for ever!" -John Adams

"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home and leave us in peace. We seek not your council, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; and may posterity forget that ye were our country men." -Samuel Adams

And two of my favorite:
"The said constitution shall never be construed to authorize congress to prevent the people of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms." -Samuel Adams

"They that would give up essential liberty for a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."

This country was not founded on socialism, or communism. It was founded on liberty, on the fact that our ancestors were hard workers and they worked to make a better life for themselves, and they were willing to help their neighbor, BUT THEY WERE NOT FORCED TO DO SO! This country was founded on the blood of patriots and tyrants, because the Patriots knew that tyranny is never acceptable and were willing to die rather than be a slave.

The writers of the Constitution knew what they were doing, and when it was passed, everyone who was governed by the document knew the document well. Today many people do not know what is written in that important text.

Knowing the legacy of my Founding Fathers I will be damned if I am taken in by the Socialist policies of the President elect. I will not do mandated national service in either the military nor the peace corps. I will not join some Civilian National Security Force. I will put up intellectual fights, based on the Constitution, as to why it is absolutely wrong to redistribute wealth into universal health care and welfare.

I was blessed enough by God to be able to be born as am American Citizen. I cherish that more than most people know. Along with that came the liberties of this free country. I will be damned if some man thinks he can take away my rights Granted by God and Established in the Constitution of these United States of America.

Liberty is non-negotiable,
